Continuous Learning Plan
Continuum of Learning
Onsite Learning
This occurs when the campus is open and school is in session. This is our default mode of teaching and learning.
Student expectations:
attend classes unless they are unwell.
Teacher expectations:
teach onsite unless they have a doctor’s note indicating that they cannot teach from school or they are unwell.
Continuous Learning
This occurs when the campus is open and school is in session, but a student cannot attend school because of a health-related, Visa, or other unavoidable matter and this is supported by a doctor’s note or relevant supporting documentation.
Student expectations:
use the normal communication and learning platforms that their teachers use Canvas to find out what is missing. They are to communicate with teachers, counselors, and Year Heads to ensure that their learning needs are met.
Teacher expectations:
not expected to offer a hybrid class but may include a student in a Google Meet lesson if appropriate and feasible. Teachers are to communicate with students what is expected, how to access work, and how to submit assignments. Teachers are able to decide to alter assignments to meet the students’ learning conditions as long as the same learning objectives are met.
Distance Learning
This occurs when the school is mandated or has decided to close the campus for a grade level, division, or school. Each Division follows its own Distance Learning Plan.
Student expectations:
attend scheduled online classes and do work that is assigned to them asynchronously or synchronously (Google Meet) unless they are unwell.
Teacher expectations:
prepare and deliver synchronous (Google Meet) and asynchronous lessons for their regular scheduled class unless they are unwell.
