Primary School
Continuous Learning
This occurs when the campus is open and school is in session, but a student cannot attend school for an extended period of time because of a health-related, visa, or other unavoidable matter and this is supported by a doctor’s note or relevant supporting documentation.
Parent expectations:
The parent will inform the homeroom teacher if their child will need to access learning from home. If their child is too ill to come to school, the parent should not expect their child to participate in Continuous Learning, but allow them to rest and recover for a quick return to campus.
If the child only has mild symptoms of illness and would normally come to school if we were not adhering to current health regulations, the parent can request that the child engage in Continuous Learning at home. It is not a requirement that students engage in Continuous learning, but is provided upon parent request.
Student expectations:
Participate in Continuous Learning with as much independence as possible.
Teacher expectations:
Provide learning engagements that align with the grade level curriculum and calendar. Identify opportunities for students to engage socially with their homeroom class.
Distance Learning
This occurs when the school is mandated or has decided to close the campus for a grade level, division, or the whole school. Each division follows its own Distance Learning Plan. (DLP)
